TASIS The American School in Switzerland is celebrating its 25th anniversary as an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, joining a legacy of IB World Schools around the world that have reached this milestone.
The TASIS IB Program most recently went through the International Baccalaureate’s rigorous authorization and evaluation process early in 2019 and was determined to demonstrate “strong programme implementation across all areas” while earning 31 commendations. In 2020, 48 TASIS students earned an IB Diploma, posting an excellent average score of 34.1.
“The IB is proud to have TASIS as part of our global family of schools,” said Adrian Kearney, Director of IB World Schools. “It has been an inspiring provider of the IB programme for the past 25 years, giving students the confidence and ability to reach further and be the best they can be in an ever-changing and unpredictable world. As an organization, the IB thanks the school for its commitment to fulfilling and delivering the IB’s mission of education for a better world and look forward to many more years working with the educators at TASIS.”
The IB’s vision is to foster open and enlightened minds through its educational programs, which are tailored to equip students with the skills they need throughout life and encourage lifelong learning beyond their school years.
