When you think about your time at TASIS, what immediately comes to mind?

The word “remarkable" is what I think when TASIS comes to mind. TASIS was a remarkable academic experience unlike any school I had attended before. I just wish I had spent more time there.

What was your favorite spot on campus?

My favorite spot at school was sitting in the outdoor dining area between Casa Fleming & De Nobili with the view of Lake Lugano. This was perfection.

Tell us some of your best-loved memories.

My best-loved memories were the organized school trips to Munich, and the icing on the cake was the two-week ski trip to St. Moritz. This was the indelible experience I had. This was an education like no other I had known in the past.

Who were your favorite teachers?

My favorite teachers were Mr. and Mrs. Page. Because of Mrs. Page, I went on to major in Art History in college. Mr. Page made me fall in love with British Literature. Mr. Watson made science fun. I could go on and on .....

Describe your life today. How did your time at TASIS impact your life since graduation?

We think we have our lives mapped, but rarely does everything turn out according to our plans. Our family left Iran after the Revolution. We settled in Los Angeles via a stint in London, UK. I am married with two grown sons. I believe TASIS taught me to be resilient and malleable. The international student body helped broaden my outlook and vision. The TASIS experience was so much more than the superb academics. It taught me confidence with humility and that anything could be possible. In one word, it taught me optimism.
