TASIS competed with the American School of Milan on a beautiful Saturday during Family Weekend. The varsity boys knew it would be a tough win having matched ASM a few weeks prior.

The opening minutes showed early promise. Filippo de Cristofaro '20 and Marco de Cristofaro '20 managed positive movement, playing the ball through ASM defense and generating scoring opportunities. Cristobal Rodriguez Melguizo '22 and Santiago Munoz Diaz '22 were aggressive in the midfield, winning challenges and distributing the ball.

ASM scored their first goal in the sixth minute, a fast-passed drive up the left and a one-v-one at the edge of the 18-yard line with keeper Enzo Tondo '20. ASM capitalized on this momentum and continued to pressure the TASIS defense, soon scoring a second with a break up the middle and a skillful volley over the keeper.

Led by captain Patryk Herok '20, TASIS struggled to keep up with the ASM offense who were fast and skilled. ASM drew a penalty in the following minutes, but not without a number of promising drives up the right wing by Tommaso Nereo Lo Monaco '22, who again fed the de Cristofaro brothers. But ASM defense played compact, aggressive and demanded possession.

Going into the second period and ASM's offensive was too much for TASIS. The Tigers would concede three goals in the second period, but not without a breakaway response from Filippo de Cristofaro, off an assist from Melguizo, a through ball up the middle, and a low shot to the left side of the net.

TASIS came away from this difficult match with even more drive to prepare in the coming weeks, and the team looks forward to the SGIS Tournament in Geneva on November 4–5 followed by the ESC tournament in Lisbon November 14–16.
