Intramural Sports Offered on Campus Next Week

To help offset the cancelation of March athletic competitions, the Athletics Department has developed an intramural sports schedule for any students who would like to participate. The following activities will be offered in the Palestra next week:

  • Monday, March 9, 17:30–18:45: Badminton
  • Tuesday, March 10, 16:00–18:00: Soccer
  • Wednesday, March 11, 16:00–18:00: Volleyball
  • Thursday, March 12, 16:00–18:00: Basketball

Students can make teams in advance or just show up and play, and they are free to come for some or all of the time each activity is offered. In addition, the fitness room will be open and supervised from 16:00–18:00 on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

International Women’s Day Assembly

At next Friday’s High School Assembly, student veterans from the Opsahl Global Service Program (GSP) will present about International Women's Day and discuss issues facing women both globally and locally. The WISER (Kenya) GSP group will also report about its recent visit to Muhuru Bay, Kenya, where 12 TASIS students got to know the amazing young women of the Women’s Institute for Secondary Education and Research (WISER), which TASIS has partnered with since 2010.
