Rakhi Mehra is a social entrepreneur who is passionate about fostering socially inclusive cities.
A graduate in economics from University of Delhi, Oxford University, and Harvard Business School, Rakhi was inspired by Professor Muhammad Yunus’s pioneering commitment with the Grameen Bank to make the leap and work in micro-finance.
At mHS CITY LAB, a start-up she co-founded in India, Rakhi followed her passion in financial inclusion to implement innovative solutions to improve the quality of low income housing.
Her interests span and connect the start-up, non-profit, for profit, and academic sector. She is a visiting professor at Franklin University and the Faculty Advisor for the Master’s Course on Responsible Leadership and Climate Action.
Rakhi has lived and worked in the Philippines, the Netherlands, U.S.A, and U.K. She is now living in Varese, Italy, with her husband, cat, and two children.
